Even though it isn’t always easy to share, it is helpful for us to hear. It is not easy to pastor people when you are going through your own personal hell. Sometimes it’s a healthy distraction but other times it’s overwhelming. The things that confound people can seem so petty and inside we can feel impatient and snappy. I don’t know if that’s been your experience, but I pray that your people continue to be their comforting selves, as you have said. I also pray that people in TSA who have power to help and offer you a relief will do so.
What a great piece, April. So raw and vulnerable. God is going to bless you and your family through this by reaching others who may be going through this, and still others who will pray for David. Give him my love and know that all of you are in my prayers daily.
My dear friend, as I read your honest, transparent and raw writings, my heart is broken. We walk with you from a distance, carrying you in prayer. For the rough moments, when there is discouragement, fear, or uncertainty, the Lord gives calm, hope and peace. We can experience all those emotions and still believe, trust and wait. Psalm 42. Love you both deeply.
Beautifully written and shared, April. The rollercoaster ride of hope in difficult and uncertain circumstances, and the ultimate anchor we find in God’s deep love and mercy, expressed so sacrificial by Jesus that we might have life now and forever. May He continue to comfort and strengthen you both, and to pour out His healing presence and power upon his body, and to fill you with good hope.
It is certainly one of the hardest things to do, watch our loved ones suffer thinking that in some way we want to help them physically, but not knowing what to do. Your being there when he opens his eyes, or knowing you are sitting by his bed, or holding when needed, is help to you both. I will continue to pray for both of you, you for strength because this is tiring on the one supporting, and for David and all that he is going through. Remember that we are not alone, God has us securely in His hands and there are many people lifting you both up in prayer. What a wonderful treat for little Martha to come and visit. I bet that cheered David up big time and was a day brightener for you as well. Sometimes we really need these little pick me ups, that come straight from Him! Praying.
Thanks for writing from your heart. I hope it is therapeutic. Praying for David and you. This is the fear of every cancer patient, a fever that leads to neutropenia. I feel the fear and anxiety of this. The hospital is the best place for recovery from this and awful chemo side effects. So glad David is home. I remember a nurse telling me when I was sleeping a lot, it is healing. Chemo drains you in a way hard to describe. Love and Prayers, my friends.
Sorry Dave needs the protective environment in hospital right now. Praying for the white blood cells to develop more and properly and for his body to build up some more. Then you can be together more. 💕🌷.
Thank you, thank you for sharing your story to this point. I can feel your pain as I read every word but I can sense your hope rising too. God bless you both and may His presence and His unfailing love be your strong support. We love you both and will continue to be in our prayers.
Awww… thank you so much for the update, April. I will continue to keep not only David, but also you, your beautiful children, grandchildren, and your entire extended family in my thoughts and prayers. Psalm 121. 🙏🏼
Please give my brother a warm hug for me. We’re all standing with him, lifting him up, believing for strength, and surrounding him with love.
We look forward to seeing you all in a few months. Love you, my brother.
Thank you for being so vulnerable at this time in yours and David's journey. Our hearts break for you both, but we realize that the heavens armies is fighting right along with you.
Our hope is in Jesus. God's purpose will be realized. The awesome fact remains either way David will be a winner. Please let him know we love him and are praying for you both.💔
